The Konbit Ciné Éducatif approach is part of the FORF’s educational program for schoolchildren and students in order to make them aware of the situation of the community in which they live. The films or documentaries shown are often works by Haitian filmmakers committed to the development of Haiti through the cinematic expression of various historical, social, cultural and economic themes. In principle, these productions are intended for audiences who are able to reflect and get involved in the advancement of society and who aim to trigger or fuel a process of awareness and involvement in the development of their community.
A debate session with the students is planned after the screening of the films and documentaries. Whenever possible, the director will be present and will take part in the discussions. The Foundation’s communication office may carry out an evaluative follow-up if requested by the school or university management.
