Awards to Mrs. Fombrun

Over the years, Odette Roy Fombrun has been awarded a variety of prestigious prizes. They include the following:

  • 2011 Citation of Merit from Nassau County, New York received from Mr. Carrie Solages, Legislator
  • 2009-the mouvement ‘Aimer Haiti’ recognized her for her continuing efforts to build national unity through Konbitism.
  • 2009-the DEFI Foundation named her a “Woman of Merit”.
  • 2009-Named “National Living Treasure” by the Fondation Françoise Canez Auguste and Image et Marketing S.A., Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  • 2008-United Nations Artists Award to “Haitians Pioneer Success”.
  • 2008 -“Honneur et Mérite” for her contribution to enriching knowledge by the Institut La Source, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  • 2008 -Tribute from the Gédéon School, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  • 2008 – Tribute for her selfless devotion to Haiti, from the Club BPW international of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  • 2007 – “Honneur et mérite ” for her 68 year career in the service of Eudcation in Haiti and her contribution to developing the sector, from the Ministère de l’Education Nationale, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  • 2007 -“Honneur et Mérite” from the Career Women’s Club for her devotion to the promotion of Haitian women, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  • 2006 -” Honneur et Remerciements “, from the Association des Paysans de Vallue, for her contribution to Civic Education in Haïti.
  • 2006 -“Education and Civicism Award”, Foundation Hope for Haiti, Inc., Miami, Florida.
